GoHighLevel expert and consultant
A GoHighLevel Expert to Build, Fix and Test Your Account
I'm Carlos Familia, a GoHighLevel expert who builds, audits and repairs accounts for US service businesses and for the agencies that serve them. You work with me directly, and I don't call a workflow done until I've watched it run on a test contact and read its log. To start, book a time in the calendar below and bring one lead that went wrong.
- 268 journey tests passed across my 8 industry demo accounts
- Audited a 281-workflow mortgage account, archived 190 with zero differences
- 46 workflows for a life insurance agency, integrity scan clean
- One specialist, no account managers: you work with me directly
What does a GoHighLevel expert actually do?
A GoHighLevel expert turns the way you already sell into pipelines, calendars, forms and workflows that run without anyone watching. For a life insurance agency in the Los Angeles area, that meant 31 custom fields, 3 pipelines, 3 calendars and 46 workflows in 23 stage folders, so each stage owns its own follow-up.
The other half is judgment. In a Spanish-language wellness clinic's funnel, leads got the same WhatsApp message two or three times. The fix wasn't another workflow. Each workflow moved the stage before adding its guard tag, so the next one fired first. I reversed the order and cleaned 31 contacts out of four workflows.
Owners search for this work under many names: GoHighLevel experts, GHL experts, a GoHighLevel specialist, a GoHighLevel consultant. The title matters less than proof. Anyone you hire, including me, should be able to open a real account on a call and show you a workflow running, step by step.
Is this for business owners, agencies, or both?
Both. Owners reach me with an empty account, an account a previous builder left half done, or leads that arrive and get no answer. My builds cover mortgage, insurance, HVAC, roofing, med spas, collision repair and dental, among others. I work from the Dominican Republic with US businesses, in English and Spanish.
Agencies bring me in as the HighLevel consultant behind their brand. For a beauty-industry agency, I set up voice and chat agents for three hair salons as one repeatable build. For an agency running nine client chat bots, I built a Slack digest that reviews every bot three times a day. More in my letter to agency owners about white label builds.
It's not a fit if you want a large team with account managers and shifts around the clock. I'm one specialist, not an agency. You work with me directly, so the person on the call is the person who builds and tests your account.
How will you know the workflows work before the job ends?
I run each path on an isolated test contact, skip the waits instead of sitting through them, and read the step log rather than trusting a green status. GoHighLevel can keep writing success rows while a contact sits in a wait, so the newest log line is not the contact's real state.
On my eight industry demo accounts, with about 69 workflows each, 268 journey tests passed. For an HVAC company in California, I published 25 logic workflows with zero failures and proved the whole path end to end with an isolated contact. The method, and the six mistakes that shaped it, is in how I test GoHighLevel workflows.
Testing covers settings too. A calendar created without a slug once made a share link open another company's calendar. A chat agent on auto-pilot answered nobody for a day because no channel was assigned. Both looked fine on the settings screen, which is why I test the path a lead takes.
What if your account is already a mess?
Then we start by counting. A mortgage brokerage in Florida handed me an account a previous agency had built: 281 workflows in 27 folders, only 95 of them active. I archived the old agency's 190 workflows, 1,559 actions with zero differences, then imported 1,583 contacts with zero errors.
Messy accounts tend to fail quietly. An insurance agency had two Facebook lead forms that were never mapped, so the leads for one of its products never reached the CRM. Once I mapped them, 39 stuck leads arrived within about three minutes. They didn't fire any workflows, which matters if you expect a backfill to catch up by itself.
A rescue follows a fixed order: confirm who owns the account, count and back up what exists, stop the leaks, then fix messaging and the failures that report success. Fixing in a different order is how a bad account gets worse. The full sequence is in what a GoHighLevel account rescue looks like.
How should you check any GoHighLevel expert before you pay?
Check me the way you'd check anyone. My 24-point checklist to hire a GoHighLevel expert scores testing, account structure, texting rules and the traps that break workflows without an error. Ask each candidate to open a real account on the call and show you the logs, not a slide deck.
For budget, read how much a GoHighLevel expert costs. It covers project and hourly pricing and the costs that show up after a quote. If you want to hire a GHL expert for a fixed first build, see my GoHighLevel setup service. If the job needs code, like an API integration or an app, you also need a GoHighLevel developer.
From first call to handoff
- Bring one lost lead: Pick a time in the calendar below and bring one lead that went wrong. We look at what happened to it, and that usually shows where the account breaks.
- Account review: Before I quote, I read the workflows, triggers, pipelines, calendars and phone setup. You get a short written list of what works, what's broken and what's missing.
- Scope with a test per item: Every item names its trigger, what it does and the test that proves it. Anything not on the list becomes a new item, not a surprise.
- Build on test contacts: I build, run each path on a test contact and fix what the logs show. You see working workflows, not screenshots.
- Workflow map and walkthrough: You get one card per workflow with its trigger and messages, plus a walkthrough. On a life insurance build, each card also linked to the live builder and a PDF guide.
Work I have shipped
A 281-workflow mortgage account, organized
A Florida mortgage brokerage inherited 281 workflows from a previous agency, and only 95 were active. I archived 190 old workflows with 0 differences across 1,559 actions and imported 1,583 contacts with 0 errors. The structure has since been reused for insurance, HVAC and other builds. An HVAC company: phone agent plus workflows
An HVAC company in California needed calls answered and a CRM that wasn't empty. I built an AI receptionist that books into a dispatch board, then published 25 logic workflows with zero failures. One is a no-show recovery that stops itself on a rebook, a reply or a stage change. Read how it was built
39 insurance leads behind unmapped forms
An insurance agency said the leads for one of its products weren't coming in. Two Facebook lead forms had never been mapped to fields. Once I mapped them, 39 stuck leads arrived within about three minutes. Read how it was built
A life insurance agency built from empty
A new life insurance agency near Los Angeles started with an empty sub-account. I built 3 pipelines, 31 fields and 46 workflows in 23 stage folders, plus a bilingual phone intake. The integrity scan found 0 issues and the execution tests passed 10 of 10. Read how it was built
Questions before you hire
What's the difference between a GHL expert and a virtual assistant?
A virtual assistant runs the account day to day: contacts, tags, inbox replies and small edits. A GHL expert designs the system the assistant works inside: pipelines, triggers, calendars, texting rules and the tests that prove it runs. Many businesses need both, expert first. I compare the two roles in GoHighLevel virtual assistant vs expert.
Do I need a Go High Level consultant or a full build?
If the account mostly works and you want a second opinion, a review is enough: I go through it and give you a written list of fixes, most important first. If the account is empty or the core follow-up is broken, you need a build. The review tells you which case you're in before you commit to more.
Can a Go High Level expert fix an account someone else started?
Yes, but I check before I change anything. Cloned steps can still point at another account's workflow IDs and fail without an error, and opening a migrated trigger in the editor can erase the evidence. For a storage company leaving a franchise account, my integrity scan found 3 real issues among 79 workflows, all already broken in the source.
Do you handle A2P 10DLC registration?
Yes. I register the brand with the details from the IRS EIN letter (legal name, EIN, entity type and address), make sure the privacy and terms pages carry the SMS language, and keep building while approval is pending. When an HVAC client's A2P registration was rejected, I set email to go first and SMS to wait.
Can I start with something smaller than a custom build?
Yes. If your follow-up looks like most businesses in your industry, the Automation Packs are $22: a GoHighLevel snapshot with the workflows for one industry, which you install yourself or with your agency. There's one for HVAC companies and eight other industries. Hire an expert when your process is different or something is already broken.
Do you work in Spanish?
Yes. I work in English and Spanish, and several of my builds run bilingual: a life insurance agency's phone intake answers in both languages, and my demo accounts send each lead English or Spanish copy. On one mortgage account, mixed language tags sent Spanish reminders to English speakers until I moved 33 contacts to a single language tag.
